Unversity of Nebraska - Lincoln
The goal of the UNL Center for Economic Education is to increase the quantity and enhance the quality of economic education. This goal is achieved through teacher education, instructional services, materials development, faculty education and research.
The UNL Center conducts credit courses and non-credit workshops to increase the economic understanding of teachers and to improve their skills in teaching and integrating economics into their present curriculum. Graduate courses are offered for certified school teachers and administrators. Undergraduate credit courses are offered for education majors at UNL.
A Masters of Education with a focus area in Economics is available through the UNL Center. Since the majority of the coursework is offered online, teachers from throughout the state can further their careers and deepen their understanding of economics through this outstanding Master Degree Program.
Each summer, the UNL Center offers an Econ is Everywhere! Summer Camp for post 6th through post 8th grade students. The camp takes students on a journey into the exciting world of economics as it relates to money, entertainment, government, sports, and the global economy.
Each fall, Economics Day for high school students and their teachers is coordinated by the UNL Center and held at the UNL campus.
